Technology Empowerment Network (TEN) in collaboration with United Software Engineering (USWE) has launch the United Soft Ware Engineers Initiative (USWE-I) in Liberia thus creating the next generation workforce in Liberia. USWE-I is a distant learning program to empower young people with interest in computer programming. The program will provide a self-paced computer programmer training lab to develop programming expertise in Liberia. The lab provides computer access and training materials for you to learn and master computer programming in the Java programming language and with web and database applications at no cost to the beneficiaries.

USWE-I hours of video tutorials, hundreds of examples, and guided assignments will develop students with all the necessary skill needed to build computer applications. Self-motivated student should contact Technology Empowerment Network located in the BG freeman building on Benson Street, Monrovia Liberia or send CV to programmerteam@unitedswe.com or uswei@ten.org.lr.  Each student will be given assignments to be completed in order to remain in the program. Successful candidates will be recommended for interview for possible work with United Software Engineering.

Major requirements: Interested students must have basic computer knowledge, Interest in computer programming, must be hard-working, intelligent, and responsible. Any computer programming experience is a plus. Students with personal computer can requested training materials from TEN office.
